Human memory records not merely images and situations but also experienced sounds. The poetic-mechanical, imagined world depicted in the spectacle by Jesús Nieto allows us to see sounds; right in front of our eyes they assume the shape of objects and imaginary edifices that, in turn, produce extraordinary acoustic architecture. The artist studies the imposed social image of the ”real”, the “genuine” and the ”visible”, indicates the exploitation of the spoken word as a tool of communication, and invites to take part in an emotional journey across the memory of whispers, murmurs, and noise so as to evoke associated emotions and recollections.
